Maintenance guide | Injection molding machine water emergency measures

Every year from late July to early August is the most concentrated period of precipitation in North China, Northeast China, and other regions. This is also known as the "seven down eight up" flood control critical period.

Recently, affected by super typhoon "Dusuri", Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, and Fujian continue to suffer heavy rainfall attacks, resulting in some users' homes, and workshops being flooded, many small and medium-sized enterprises suffering equipment and facilities being soaked in water, damage, shutdown and production losses.

Therefore, Tederic specially prepared "flood prevention tips" for the majority of users. If you encounter heavy rainfall and the injection molding machine is unfortunately flooded, please refer to the following operating guidelines to respond in time:

1. Hydraulic system inspection

01
Check whether the motor oil pump is flooded. If water cannot start the motor oil pump, avoid water hydraulic oil entering the machine's hydraulic pipeline system after opening the motor, resulting in corrosion of hydraulic components.

02
Check whether the hydraulic oil is flooded. Open the plug at the bottom of the tank on the frame, release a small amount of oil, touch a little paper, and ignite, if it cannot be ignited, or there is a crackling explosion during the fire-burning process, it indicates that there is water in the hydraulic oil, and all hydraulic oil needs to be replaced.

Safety tips: When replacing hydraulic oil, it is necessary to fully clean the tank after pumping and use it after drying.

2. Electrical inspection

01
Disconnect all power supplies.

02
Check whether the main computer is flooded. If the computer host is flooded, it is necessary to remove the button battery on the host as soon as possible to prevent corrosion caused by electrical components of the host and increase the difficulty of maintenance.

03
Check the wading condition of other electrical components. Remove the entire electrical box components, clean them with alcohol, and fully dry, including but not limited to the main engine, circuit breaker, contactor, transformer, and switching power supply.

04
Check the status of electrical components. Use a multimeter to test the resistance value of the removed, cleaned, and fully dried electrical components to determine whether they can work normally.

05
Split models require all connectors to be separated, cleaned, and dried.

3. Servo system check

- Servo driver

01
Open the driver shell, clean the debris, clean the circuit board and electronic components with alcohol, and observe whether there is rust.

02
Use a hair dryer or fan (room temperature air) to fully dry the drive's internal components.

03
Measure the drive resistance. If it is lower than megohm, it is abnormal and needs to be returned to the factory for maintenance.

04
Test run, after the installation and recovery, power on for 2 minutes without abnormal can be turned on usually.

Maintenance guide

- Servo motor

01
If the power supply terminal has obvious water, it should be thoroughly dried before continuing to use.

02
The encoder terminal needs to return to the factory for maintenance.

03
The oil seal and rotor have foreign bodies attached, which need to be cleaned before continuing to use.

04
Check whether the motor bearing is corroded and determine whether the bearing needs to be replaced.

05
The UVW three-phase resistance of the motor should be completely consistent. The resistance to the ground of the power terminal of the motor should be greater than 50MΩ.

4. Recovery and test preparation

01
Restore the disassembly and cleaning parts, and check whether the electrical box and various parts are sufficiently dry.

Safety tips: You are advised to place the device in a cool and ventilated place for one week to avoid a small amount of water in the uncleaned area, which may cause potential electric shock.

02
Check whether the incoming power supply and neutral line, ground voltage, and resistance are regular before starting.

After the above steps are completed, please carefully check the power test machine, beware of leakage, and pay attention to boot safety.
